About Argentina
Argentina is a country of 43 million inhabitants, second largest in extension in South America, of varied geography and landscape. It’s capital, Buenos Aires, is a large multicultural city of 13 million people.
The weather ranges from very hot in the north to extremely cold in the south. The best season to visit the north is during autumn and winter, while the best season to go south is during summer. The central region can be hot and humid in summer and chilly in winter.
It boasts many tourist attractions, from the Cataratas del Iguazu waterfalls in the north to breathtaking glaciers in the Patagonia and it’s capital Buenos Aires, home to the tango, where theaters, night life and restaurants await you.
Spanish is spoken throughout the country, you will find English is spoken in tourist locations. 80% of the population declares itself Roman Catholic.
With a US$ 520 billon GDP and a per capita income of US$12,100 it is one of the largest Latin American economies. Its main activities are agriculture, industry and services.
